The Goal:
Create an immersive, cross-platform web and
mobile experience connecting anime, animation
, gaming, and video communities, designed to
impress global studios, especially in Japan and
Korea.
The Problem and Challenge:
Creative communities are fragmented across niche platforms, and many existing sites look generic, lacking
cultural flair and inspiring design. Despite the explosive growth of creative communities, platforms catering
to anime, animation, and gaming remain scattered and often lack sophisticated user experience or compelling
design. Many users juggle multiple niche sites to share work, discover new content, and network. Moreover,
most platforms lack visual identities tailored to the distinct aesthetic expectations of Asian creative industries,
leaving a gap for a unified, premium-quality hub.
Researched leading Japanese and Korean platforms, built mood boards with cyberpunk aesthetics, and
designed high-fidelity web and mobile screens focused on engaging visuals and smooth user flows for
discovery and collaboration. I mapped diverse user journeys—from professional animators wanting
exposure and job opportunities to fans looking for communities and exclusive content. Using these
insights, I developed detailed wireframes and prototypes, then crafted a high-fidelity UI focusing on
layered layouts, dynamic interactions, and vibrant visuals that blend the energy of anime culture with
modern UX principles.

Opted for a dark, neon-accented cyberpunk theme with glass morphism, animated backgrounds, and
typography that supports Japanese and Korean scripts. Designed interactive cards, video hero sections,
and dynamic transitions. Included features like creator portfolios, live streams, community forums, and a
creative industry job board.
Developed a unique, visually rich cross-platform concept praised for its vibrant identity and thoughtful
features that connect creative professionals and fans. The project demonstrates strong product vision
and cross-cultural design skills. Hero screens with video backgrounds, animated grids, mobile responsive
layouts, creator profiles, and a futuristic job board. The platform demonstrates how thoughtful design and
cultural awareness can converge to build a global product with local resonance.

Through AniVerse, I honed my skills in designing for highly visual, culturally specific markets. I learned
how to balance expressive aesthetics with practical UX, ensuring that vibrant visuals don’t sacrifice
usability.
This project deepened my understanding of building products for diverse global audiences, especially
in regions like Japan and Korea where design carries strong cultural significance. It reaffirmed my belief
that great product design requires both artistic vision and empathy for users’ unique contexts and passions.
